Character designs from Ocean Men, a project done with my friend Jonathan Casala.
Set years in the future, overpopulation and pollution issues reach peak disaster. While most of the humans left earth, the remaining survivors succumb to the harsh environment the planet was left in, leading to new human hybrids and civilizations. Frito and Swarley, also known as Smak, are part of an Oceankind civilization, working as soldiers in their army. Despite life finding a way to survive, the once colorful sea turns bleak and food is sparse. Under their Queen's orders, they patrol to hunt for food above, but find themselves in the presence of humans.
